How the Canadian Dental Care Plan Works?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan helps eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to private dental insurance receive support toward the cost of oral healthcare. Eligibility is based on several requirements, including your access to insurance and adjusted family net income.
The CDCP may help cover services such as exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, root canals, dentures and extractions. Some services require approval in advance, and you may still be responsible for a co-payment or additional charges.

| Under $70,000 | 100% of eligible costs at CDCP-established fees |
| $70,000 to $79,999 | 60% of eligible costs at CDCP-established fees |
| $80,000 to $89,999 | 40% of eligible costs at CDCP-established fees |
The CDCP may not cover the full cost of treatment. Coverage is based on CDCP-established fees, your adjusted family net income and the services you receive. Co-payments or additional charges may apply. Our team will explain any expected costs before treatment begins.
What Dental Services May Be Covered?
Depending on your eligibility and oral health needs, the CDCP may help cover exams, X-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, fillings, root canals, dentures, gum treatments and certain oral surgery procedures. Some services require preauthorization, and coverage limits or additional costs may apply.
